FIRM HISTORY & DESCRIPTION
Meeks Professional Services (MPS), for a time was DBA Meeks Educational Technologies, a professional services firm, founded in 1993, providing state-of-the-art processes and procedures for managing the implementation of Information and Instructional Technology (Voice, Video, Data, Audio-Visual, Public Address, and Security Systems) in the K-12 public education market. Many people know of MPS through various presentations and articles of Mr. Meeks, who is a regularly sought after speaker for organizations such as the Council of Educational Facility Planners International (CEFPI), NSBA, ASBO, NSSEA. What most people are not aware of are the pragmatic and robust methodologies utilized by MPS that can minimize confusion and maximize technology purchasing dollars providing a best in value for our clients.
Based on our hands-on experience with more than one hundred thirty educational organizations and nine hundred and fifty campus projects, MPS promotes the concept that a successful implementation of technology into an educational environment requires balance between the people using the technology, the places where technology is used, and the things (technology) that people use. The accumulated knowledge has been documented in the founder’s book “Creating a Culture of Learning” which connects six silos to the central silo of “What and How Students Learn.”
The later years of services shifted more to complex governance and compliance issues for both public education organizations and eventually profit-driven corporations. Services have also expanded to providing business development service for a DeNovo (new to the world) Class II Medical Device.
